Alondra was born in Mexico, but has lived the majority of her life in Albuquerque. Her background has inspired the type of work she has immersed herself in. She has witnessed the inequities associated with health care systems, and her goal is to help mitigate this in the state.

Her motivation to see a healthier New Mexico led her to earn her Master in Public Health at the University of New Mexico, as well as her CHW certification. She aspires to serve the members of her community by empowering and motivating them to take control of their health.
