Penny Edwards is a licensed therapist who has been working with individuals, families and children for the past 24 years. Often this work included exploring the emotional underpinnings of culture and identity. Penny has worked as an ICWA CYFD case worker, private adoption case worker and a behavioral clinical therapist. Her approach to therapy is a strengths-based trauma-informed approach that prioritizes meeting clients where they're at. 

Penny is a board member of the New Mexico Sandplay Society and is completing an RSP level certification in Sandplay Therapy. She utilizes therapy modalities in attachment theory, Motivational Interviewing, EFT and employs some parts of Narrative Therapy and IFS. She also continues to volunteer with the Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection & Prevention program with UNM/UNMH to provide behavioral, emotional support to women with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and their families.
